This was a fun birthday for the cutest little boy. Cam is a pal of my boys so we went to the party complete with a real live fire truck. My oldest loved it and they had a hard time getting him to get out of it. My youngest, on the other hand, thought it was entirely too loud and wanted it to stop. My niece went one step further and was ready to go home when all the sirens and horn blowing began.
I had a fire truck birthday party for my big guy last year, but I think this cake turned out better. It was butter pecan cake, cream cheese filling and covered and decorated with RED fondant. My hands were red for days and Cam's mom and dad got a giggle out of it Sunday morning as I lead worship with those hands shining for all to see. :-)
We will need a fire truck cake in August too. Apparently your party idea was the biggest hit among kids ever. Punkin begs for a firetruck party every time we go by the fire station. Which is every day.

Cameron loved the cake and so did I (the looks of it anyway) I can't believe I didn't even lick my fingers while serving it. Everyone said it was good. You did a great job!!
