This was a fun cake to make. It's all yellow cake, cream cheese filling, buttercream icing and the golf ball is covered with fondant.

This cake was for a little girl's birthday.  The theme of the party was Taylor Swift and she wanted the cake to be a red sparkly guitar.  This was my attempt at sparkles and a guitar.  My four year old informed me that my strings should have wrapped around the knobs up top.  Thanks!  I'll remember that next time.

It was chocolate cake, peanut butter mousse filling and butter cream icing.

first birthday

I'm a little behind on showing cakes but this is one from last weekend.  It was for a good friend's daughter who turned one.  She wanted the cake decorated like the fabric that she used to make the birthday girl's dress.  She also did center pieces to match.  The dress and the center pieces were very cute and the cake ended up matching pretty good.  Happy Birthday to H Bug!

my little candy man

My youngest turned three a couple weeks ago and we had a candy themed birthday party for him complete with a candy buffet.  Every kid's dream....

  

It was so much fun and I think the kids had a blast including the birthday boy.

 

I made a gumball machine cake.  The gumball machine was strawberry cake with buttercream filling and covered with marshmallow fondant.  The bottom square was yellow cake, cream cheese filling and buttercream icing.

Sorry I've been MIA lately.  I have a long list of excuses but who likes to hear excuses?  So I'll just move right along to the cake.  This was fun, easy and turned out really cute.
