Plannerchick's baby turned one last week and I had the honor of making his 1st birthday cake. I say honor because it truly is special to be able to make cakes for my friend's kiddos especially the 1st birthdays. It's right up there with being able to make my own kid's cakes.
The theme was obviously beachy. I was disappointed that I wasn't able to be at his party, but hubby and I went to a wedding and had a much needed overnight date. However, I heard that the party was fun and the birthday boy had a blast eating his cake. The cake was chocolate with peanut butter filling on the bottom tier and butter cream for the rest.

Sorry there was no What's Baking Monday. This is a busy week. Our Kids Consignment Sale is this weekend and baking is the last thing I have time for. I will be baking something yummy again soon. If not this Monday, then next. Have a great week!
