This cake was for a little boy who wanted a trailer (like one you hitch to the back of a tractor or truck) birthday party thus a trailer cake. So his mother asked for a trailer on top of a round cake. She also asked for minimal fondant so I made it my mission to make the cake completely without fondant. That was a little tricky for me because I'm not exactly the buttercream queen, but I did it and used absolutely no fondant.
The cake was yellow and all buttercream icing. The rails around the trailer and the hitch are red twizzlers. The tires are small chocolate donuts.
