Welcome to my cake blog, Sweet Celebrations, where I will be displaying all of my latest cake creations and occasionally other goodies for fun.
A little about me. I am a wife of nine years to a man who very much completes me and makes sure that my days are never boring. I am a mother to two of the cutest little boys ever. I work part time as an Engineer and part time as Music Leader at my church.
I started decorating cakes about two years ago after a friend convinced me that I should give it a try. I was a little skeptical at first. I always felt that I had absolutely no creativity and really didn't feel that I could do a good job. But after some encouragement and a lot of advice from my dear cake decorating friend, I gave it a try. This is the cake I made. After that cake I was hooked. I started trying new and different designs and the rest is history.
I love baking and decorating cakes. It's a hobby for me as well as a creative outlet. It's funny that I'm saying that because I never would of thought that I, the most non artistic person in the world, would need a creative outlet. It just goes to show how creative God is and he made each one of us creative in some way or another.
