These cute little frogs were for my second cousins birthday. She turned four and of course celebrated with a Princess and the Frog themed party. We decided to go with a cupcake tower but, once again, I don't have a picture of the completed tower. But imagine, if you will, these frog cupcakes on a tower with this cake on top:
It really did turn out cute!
My friend Kelly is doing her internship in a kindergarten classroom this semester. They like to celebrate when they've completed 100 days of school. I definitely agree that calls for celebration. That's an accomplishment for a five year old. I have a five year old.
The theme for their celebration was a tropical monkey type theme and Kelly asked for a cake. It was a fun cake to do even if I am a month or two late with blogging it. ;-)
The cake was yellow and the filling was cream cheese. That's all Kelly will get. She's wild and crazy like that! The icing was buttercream and the decorations were all fondant.
I consider it an honor to do a first birthday cake. That might sound cheesy and well I am pretty cheesy, but I think that's a pretty special birthday. This time the honor was given to me by my very favorite hair stylist, Kimmy. Kimmy has a cute little boy and they celebrated with a polka dot giraffe cake.
Two tiers of the cake were yellow and one was chocolate, all with cream cheese filling and buttercream icing. The decorations were fondant. The smash cake was a small yellow cake with a giraffe on top carved out of cake and covered with fondant.

The cake was all chocolate with fudge filling and buttercream icing. All the decorations were marshmallow fondant. Don't you love those little bananas?

These cute little dog bone cookies were for Sassy's son whose third grade class has been reading the book "Because of Winn Dixie". The cookies were peanut butter. I haven't read the book, but apparently the peanut butter has something to do with it. Very cute idea, I thought, and my cute-as-pie niece agreed.
And then she was all tuckered out and found a comfy spot on the floor to take a quick nap.
Sorry I've been MIA lately. I have a long list of excuses but who likes to hear excuses? So I'll just move right along to the cake. This was fun, easy and turned out really cute.
