Finally I did it! I made some of Bakerella's famous cake pops. I decided to do the Christmas tree ones and they turned out really cute. Not as perfect as Bakerella's, but cute nonetheless. The kids helped me with these and that was fun.....and messy......and exhausting.
I found that using candy melts was much easier than almond bark, not sure why but much easier. I used red velvet cake and it was so yummy! Making these is very time consuming and it makes SO many. I had enough for my biggest guy's class, my mom took one to all of the teachers at her school and I plan on sending some to my little guy's babysitter to share with his friends. And I still have a few left. Wow! In the future, I will used cake scraps from all of my baking instead of a whole cake. That way I want have a trillion cake pops! :-)

And just for fun, my littles man waiting for his brother's Christmas play to start. He looks like he's up to no good.....typical!
