This was for a birthday party at the Lake.  I don't have a picture of the tower that was created with the cupcakes and the 6 inch cake, but I imagine it was perfect for a swimming party.  The cake and cupcakes were chocolate with buttercream icing.

I saw a version of this cake a while back and just loved how simple yet cute it was.  So I was very excited when I had the opportunity to do one like it.  Not to mention I love Minnie. 

The cake was chocolate with cream cheese filling.  The mouse head was cake covered with fondant, the ears were fondant as well as the bow and other decorations.

I love doing cakes for this family because the mom always comes up with such cute ideas like this and this.  They are some of my favorite cakes and this one was no exception.

 

The flavors were chocolate cake with peanut butter filling and yellow cake with cream cheese filling.  The cake was covered and decorated with marshmallow fondant.

 

1st birthday

This is another cake from way back.  This cake was for my second cousin's little boy.  He's such a cutie and the spitting image of his daddy.  I know what he's going to hear four thousand and fifty two times throughout his life.  "You look just like your daddy!"  I know this because I have heard it ALL my life.  Not about my daddy though, but my mother.  :-)

 

Both tiers were yellow cake while one was filled with chocolate buttercream and the other cream cheese.  The icing was buttercream and the decoration was fondant.  Here's the "smash cake".

polka dot giraffe

I consider it an honor to do a first birthday cake.  That might sound cheesy and well I am pretty cheesy, but I think that's a pretty special birthday.  This time the honor was given to me by my very favorite hair stylist, Kimmy.  Kimmy has a cute little boy and they celebrated with a polka dot giraffe cake.

 

Two tiers of the cake were yellow and one was chocolate, all with cream cheese filling and buttercream icing.  The decorations were fondant.  The smash cake was a small yellow cake with a giraffe on top carved out of cake and covered with fondant.

A Curious George cake for a curious (not to mention adorable) little boy who turned one.  For another friend.  Another first birthday.  I love it!

The cake was all chocolate with fudge filling and buttercream icing.  All the decorations were marshmallow fondant.  Don't you love those little bananas?

3d "A"

This cake was mostly a repeat with a little twist.  It was fun with the bright pink, green and a 3d "A" on top.  Everything was cake and buttercream icing.  The polka dots and stripes were marshmallow fondant.

This cake was yellow with chocolate buttercream filling and yellow with cream cheese filling.  It was all decorated and covered with marshmallow fondant.  I love baby shower cakes!  So fun!
