It was for several of her classmates' birthdays.  Since they are all working on getting their degree in Education, I decided to do a Teacher's theme cake.  I was going to do a whole apple, but half of it fell to the floor in a pile of cake crumbs so it's half an apple. 

 

back to school

Summer is over and kids are back in school.  This time of year always makes me a little sad.  I'm not sure why other than I just love Summer and school starting back means that Fall is just around the corner. 

My mom is a teacher.  (This is actually her last year before she retires!)  She's the Reading Coach at her school and she wanted to wish the teachers that she works with a blessed year.  She decided to do that with a cake.  So here's the chalkboard cake that I made for her.
